St George's Sporting Round Up!
Monday – Sixth Form
Our Sixth Form team bounced back in spectacular fashion, winning 1-0 in a rematch against Southbank School. After a tough 9-2 loss in their first encounter, the team came back stronger, with a decisive goal from Dom Ocaka securing the win. A true display of resilience and determination.
Tuesday – St George's Tournament Victory
We hosted a football tournament with Paddington Academy, Pimlico Academy, and Southbank here at the school. St George’s emerged victorious, winning the tournament! Special mention goes to Richard Kadana Cummings, who was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance throughout the competition.
Women's Wednesday -
Women's Wednesdays continue to be a great success with over 50 pupils attending extracurricular clubs from before school, lunchtime and after school.
Wednesday – Year 7 Girls Tournament Win
Mr. Chijioke led our Year 7 girls to victory in a tournament, where they triumphed over 6 opponents. The whole team put in a fantastic effort, with Ava Wildman standing out, scoring an impressive 8 goals. A truly dominant display from the girls!
Today – Year 8's 6-0 Victory Over Westminster Academy
Our Year 8 team finished their season in style with a resounding 6-0 win against Westminster Academy. Goals came from Aurel Salihi (2), John Delaney, Ava Wildman (2), and an own goal from the opposition. A brilliant way to end the season!
