The Music Department are delighted to announce that following a rigorous audition process Mayle Velasco and David Swaby Thomas in Year 13 have both received offers from Trinity College of Music. This is a huge achievement as Trinity typically only accept around 9% of applicants (compared with 17% at Oxford), making it one of the most difficult universities to get into, not just in the UK, but the world. 

The college were so impressed with Mayle and David's auditions that both received offers of three Es. David has been accepted on the singing performance course and Mayle on both violin performance and composition. They will soon be joining the college's prestigious alumni, who include choreographer Matthew Bourne and Hollywood film composer John Powell. We wish them the best of luck in their music careers!
