A massive congratulations to our years 7,8,9 and 10 boys and girls team who went to Battersea Park to compete in the Annual Battersea Park Athletics Competition with myself, Maddie O'Sullivan and Erin Jeffers. 

 

I am pleased to say that after long hours of sweat and tears, competing against several schools in the borough of Westminster, our teams achieved a total of 19 Gold medals, 11 Silver medals and 15 Bronze medals. 

 

Special mention goes out to Joshua Camara-Mulla who achieved 2 Gold medals in Shot Putt and Discuss. He had a stand out performance in all his events and was able to use his charisma to keep the spirit in all the teams high.

Another special mention goes out to Nyra Hall who battled through and achieved top rankings in the 100m and 200m sprint. 

 

In addition, our Year 7 teams performed exceptionally well, achieving top rankings in most of their events. Special mention goes out to the relay teams, Taiden Eboikpomwen, Leokii Stanton, Jaeden Hamilton, Francis Sylva, Abrielle Worgs, Amanda Soares, Isobelle Curry and Alyssa Hopwood. They achieved Gold in their race, outrunning all the other schools. 

 

Overall, both teams performed remarkably across all their events and most definitely demonstrated a team ethos in true St George’s spirit.
