Our general entry requirement for progression to A Level is that students must have attained a minimum of 7 GCSE's (or equivalent) with Grades 9 - 5 in different subjects; including English Language and Mathematics.

Students who wish to study BTEC courses should check the course requirement  guide below, as the entry requirements vary from subject to subject. 

TO BE WORN TO, FROM AND AT SCHOOL

  • Matching charcoal/dark grey suit trousers and jacket.
  • Plain white shirt (worn correctly: tucked into trousers, top button fastened).
  • Red or grey V-necked plain-knit jumper (optional).
  • Sixth form plain red tie (worn correctly: top button fastened, clip appropriately placed or appropriately sized knot if applicable).
  • Dark coloured coat (no logos, denim or leather).
  • Plain dark or black scarf only.
  • A plain black woolly hat (no logos) is permitted during the colder months.
  • Caps and hoodies are not permitted at any time.
  • Black socks only.
  • Formal, polishable, clean black leather shoes with black soles, black laces (if lace-ups) and all black stitching (no Converse, pumps, boots or trainers).
  • Beards, moustaches and wispy growth are not permitted for reasons on uniformity and we want our pupils to be smart and well-presented. No shaved or patterned eyebrows.
  • Sensible hairstyles, no lines, no extreme styles or colours are permitted. Hair-bands must be plain, dark or black with no logo.
  • No visible tattoos.
  • A wrist watch is permitted.
  • One small silver or gold stud is allowed in each ear lobe. No facial piercings are allowed.
  • Modest jewellery is allowed (one small ring on each hand, one bracelet and one necklace).
  • Mobile phones and wearables (miniature electronic devices) should not be used around the premises; they can ONLY be used in the Sixth Form common room or other designated areas.
  • Black bag (appropriately sized to carry all sixth form folders).

  • Matching charcoal/dark grey suit trousers (no skinny styles are permitted at any time), skirt (must be knee length and not fitted) or capped sleeve dress (not fitted) and jacket.
  • Plain white revere-neck blouse/shirt (worn correctly: tucked into trousers/skirt).
  • Red or grey V-necked plain-knit jumper (optional).
  • Dark coloured coat (no logos, denim or leather).
  • Plain dark or school scarf only.
  • A plain black woolly hat (no logos) is permitted during the colder months.
  • Caps and hoodies are not allowed at any time.
  • Plain black opaque tights.
  • Formal, polishable, clean black flat leather shoes with black soles, black laces (if lace-ups) and all black stitching (no Converse, pumps, boots or trainers).
  • Make-up and nail varnish should be modest. False nails and false eyelashes are not allowed at any time and pupils will be asked to remove before they attend lessons.
