2021 A Level Results

St George's RC School is delighted to announce the best ever A Level results achieved by Sixth Form pupils. These results will enable many of our students to attend highly prestigious University destinations. We are particularly proud of our students given the extremely challenging circumstances they have faced over the past two years.

These results are a reflection of the resilience, dedication and determination of our Sixth Form students and are also reflective of the commitment of their teachers who supported them very effectively both remotely and on their return to school. The grades were awarded under a rigorous process based on national standards and effective moderation of student's work.

 

37% of students achieved A*/A grades

70% achieved A*/B

86% achieved A*-C

 

Some exceptional individual performances included:

Victor - A*, A*, A, A, A  - he will now study Physics at UCL

Tanya - A*, A*, A, A, A  - she will study Computer Science at Warwick University

Rodrigo - A*, A*, A - he will study Dentistry at Kings

Benhur - A*, A, A  - he will study Economics at Warwick

Precious - A*, A*, A - International Relations at SOAS

Thomas - A*, A*, A - Politics at Warwick University

 

 

Lucy Ling, Deputy Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form commented: 'It has been a privilege to work with these students and their families, especially given the extremely difficult circumstances they faced over the past two years due to disruption from Covid -19. These students have displayed immense character in achieving these results which indicates they have the necessary qualities to be very successful at University and in their future careers'

 

 

 

Mr Cathal Gregory, Head of School stated 'I am very proud of our Sixth Form pupils particularly with regard to the resilience they have displayed throughout a very challenging period. I am thrilled that they are leaving with such outstanding results and also that they have matured into such well-rounded, responsible and respectful young adults. I wish each of them every success for the future and I look forward to hearing of further accomplishments from them'.
