About The Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) is the world’s leading achievement award for young people, and is recognised by employers and universities alike. It promotes personal development through participation in this enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme.  The ethos of the award is to enable every young person to take part in the programme and succeed, no matter what background he or she comes from. At St George’s we embrace this ethos by allowing any committed student to take part in both the Bronze and Gold award once age appropriate.
