We are supported in our work by a team of excellent Instrumental Music Tutors Instrumental Music Lessons are available on a range of instruments (including voice) to all students. We currently offer lessons on the following instruments:
Brass Instruments (Trumpet, Trombone)
Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)
Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello)
Guitar (classical, acoustic, electric, bass)
Instrumental Music Lesson Timetables
Instrumental Music Lessons take place during the school day. Your child will be given a timetable with a rotating time for their music lesson so that they don't always miss the same school lesson each week. However, your child will almost definitely miss some school lesson time to attend music lessons and will need to catch up on any school work missed or homework set. We are not able to make individual arrangements regarding music lesson times and, if you are very concerned about your child missing school lesson time, you may wish to consider private lessons outside of school.
Musical Instrument Hire
Students must have an instrument which they can use to practise at home. Some instruments are available for hire through the school. (Drums, guitar, piano/keyboard are not available for hire). For more information contact Ms Savage, Head of Music.
Please note that, if you learn a brass/woodwind/string instrument it is expected that you will attend the appropriate ensemble regularly. It is expected that all students attending singing lessons attend the appropriate choir regularly.
